Take this BS somewhere else. There are hundreds of people, including myself, who will tell you to put up solid info on this or shut your mouth.

And to add to this thread, if you paid for than $69.00 shipped to your foor for an Autospring kit, you paid too much.

I have a 3" HBS leveling kit with 20's. Wouldn't go with anything else (unless I went with a 6" lift all around).

Well, the way I see it, the AS is fully welded and gusseted and comes in 4 sizes (1.5" 2" 2.5" and 3") and they have the offset design. The HBS only has two sizes. If you look at both, the AS is a lot sturdier looking and stronger, not to mention the AS is cheaper, so why would anyone pay more for an inferior product?

Hey fellas, I have read a ton of your posts and they have been really helpful.

I need your help because despite my searches, I havent found someone with my setup (or at least pictures or testimonial).

I have an 05 lariat 2wd. While many have said that once a leveling kit is put on that 35" will fit 4wd and 33" will fit 2wd, I havent seen or heard of anyone doing it. I really wanted a 4x4, but couldnt pass up the monster deal i got on my truck.

I have already purchased a 2.5" leveling kit (2.5" front, 1" block in back). Will add a leaf on rear if necessary (hoping not to have to). I am going to try and knock out the installation this weekend if I get time.

My question is this.
My understanding is that I currently have 18" stock wheels on it now.
After the lift, I want to step up to 285/65/18 BG Goodrich A/T. Do you fellas see any problems with this?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Do you guys think the 2.5" would be too much? It kind of scares me that everyone says to not use the 3" because it's too extreme, but the 2.5" is only a half inch smaller.

What ya think?

If you're going with the AS (Autospring) leveling kit, then this thread is for you...

https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...t-install.html

I know the thread title says 2.5", but these general instructions will work for all sizes of these type.

I've purchased a 2" kit for my '06 SCrew, but didn't get a chance to get them on yet. Recovering from surgery... I got the 2" kit because I have a raised fiberglass cap on the bed, and that makes the rear squat a little. All I did to decide on the 2" kit was to park the truck on a level surface and measure from the concrete to the highest point of the wheel well, front to back. Doing this made me believe that the 2.5" kit would've made the front sit a little too high and I don't want to raise the rear.

I have a 1.5" AS on my 2005 F150 4x4 Super Crew. I'm running 295/70/17 tires and am just very slightly higher in the back, just like I like it. I have noticed the rake flattening off a bit as the miles and the loads add up. Eventually I'll probably pick up one of thier rear blocks for a tad bit more lift in the back. There's pictures in my gallery if you're interested.

Well I had a 2.5" autospring on my truck but I took it off when my shock blew( It was not caused by the level kit) I had a broken spring, that is what caused the shock to blow. Anyway it rode great but i'm looking for a 2" level kit, I just didn't like the cv angles with the 2.5" i'm sure there fine i just like see them more level out.

You should have replaced the shocks with Bilsteins and ran them at the 2" lift setting, seeing as you had to buy shocks anyway...

I think I have this strait?

I have been an F150 owner for almost 1 week and a member of this site for less than 1 hour so don't shoot the new guy!

I bought a 2008 F150 4x4 supercrew and don't like the way it sits lower in the front and higher in the rear. I want to level it out and get rid of the Perelli street tires - on a 4 x 4 - what's up with that anyway?

After reading all the posts I think what everyone is suggesting is 2.5 spacer on the front should do it since no extra weight will be on the rear - Auto Spring seems to be most recommended and can get it off e-bay - and be sure and get an alignment afterwards (always after any suspension work).

My question is does it change the ride comfort at all - I bought this truck because of it and really don't want to mess it up nor do I want to wear out the front end pre-maturly. Also looking for suggestions on tires and tire size - need something a little more agressive than the Perelli's but not loud or rough - OH yes - truck has 20" rims.

thanx -

I will start by saying I do not have a leveled truck but will in the near future. I have done quite a bit of research on this topic so maybe I can contribute.
1. Each truck is different; you may need a 2in or a 2.5 depending on what you are going for. Measure twice, install once. After all you can always put a block or an aal in the rear if needed. (A block will not change the ride, aal will stiffen the ride)
2. A leveling kit (spacer) will not affect your ride. This is what every person seems to say after the install. I enjoy the comfortable ride as well
3. You are going to hear Auto Spring A LOT. Simply put, they offer a quality product in a variety of sizes at a very reasonable price. Many companies want $100 or more for the same thing.
4. You are increasing your front suspension’s angles with any size leveling kit. Anytime you increase your angles you will increase wear. However, most agree that a 3in increases wear too much. .5in may seem small but most of these guys have learned through trial and error. Long story short, 2.5in will not wear out your front end prematurely. (These statements can and will be disputed)
5. Most say you can fit 35's with minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock with stock 18in wheels; however you have the 20's so I would think 33's are the biggest you could go.

I hope this helps.

Where would you suggest getting it for cheaper? The 1.5 inch goes for 75 shipped... You know something I dont know?
