im only at 108. dude i used to know has an 05 screw 5.4 4x4 with over 260 on it. his uncle bought it new in 05, drove it back and forth from va to fl for work. his uncle had grease fittings put in the suspension pieces (stock balljoints) and plugs done every 60 i wanna say. My buddy did have to replace all the bearings in the 9.75 at the 260 ish mark. no window regulators, 4wd work, anything. pulled a camper with it too sometimes.

i plan on driving mine till it has that much on it

all you guys with over 200k what advice do you have for us? little things that we can do now to help out when were over 200 k

My dads 98 just hit 290k miles and my 05 is running like a champ at 145k miles on it. Had to do regular tune especially the kind of weather we get in Illinois 60 degrees one day the next -2 haha but ive changed the plugs and coils, rebuilt tranny, and only run syn. oil and 93 gas. The 97 e150 high top i had as my first car hit 328k before i left it at my uncles shop to sit. that thing was a beast everything still stock on it nothing has been touched besides maintenance stuff. Ford Tough baby!!

I have 200,000 miles on my 2004 f150 engine and trans original.
Runs great.
Had cam phaser replaced when near new. Still makes a ticking sound but no big deal. Nature of the beast.
Transmission works perfectly but makes a whine sound. I will rebuild soon.

I want to find an engine from a junk yard to have ready to stick in when needed.
What year model of 5.4 should I look for with the most upgrades and least problems? The 2008? When I replace engine....do I have to raise the cab?
Thanks

That's as much or more than you can "expect." It's above average.

100,200 on my '04. Manifold leak starting but that's what headers are for LOL. Plugs will be tackled again this year. Eventually new timing components as well.

I'm at 153k on my 05 xlt I have the opposite had more problems in the last 73k than the first 80k on mine. Replaced 3 coil packs in the last 22k miles and had one injector and the cat on left bank replaced around 92k.
