Window Regulator

I suffered from the window squeak on my 04 for the past couple of months. So this weekend I pulled it apart and sprayed everything with silicone spray and the squeak went away. It was the upper pulley that was making all the noise. Well this morning on the way to work I had my window down and when I rolled it up I heard a bang and it quit rolling up. It will roll down but no up. I had to push it up with my hands. What do you think? Regulator out? I am going to pull it apart this evening when I get home from work.

Yep, mine's doing the same thing. I want to replace it before my window falls. Where is the regulator located and is it easy to replace?
TIA!

YOu guys should always check the How To section when you have a problem. Also, use the search tab, lots of grief has been shared concerning the regulators.

One more question. I have noticed that you can buy the regulator with or withough the motor I believe. Is this true or should I just replace the whole dang thing.

thats not true unless you have the heritage model...

be careful who you buy from... Autozone screwed me and sent the wrong part. I returned the part but lost out on the shipping.

As you can read in this posting, I ended up getting Ford Parts from an online site. Its probably your best bet.

Is this the correct part number for a 2004 4-door truck?

When I was buying I think I saw you could get just the regulator. I ended up getting it from my dealer, the reulator and motor. You can also get it from Tasca Ford, online.
