Bad experience with Hella Blackout Headlights.....

I had a fear it was going to be a wet sand job. I hit mine with PlastX and a DA for kicks. They laughed back at me. Maybe I'll try the wet sand if I get bored this week.

I've sealed mine a couple times, the last time I used windshield sealers and haven't had that problem.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I'd just start a new one discussing the same thing...

Anyway, I've had my Hella blackout headlights for a few years, and I've had no leaking problems.

But, the OP mentioned a "flaking" type look to the headlights, and I believe I have this issue too, here is what it looks like:

I tried a headlight restore kit, and it didn't do anything. I think the integrity of the plastic is compromised, or its "flaking" on the inside.

Total crap.

I love the look of these headlights. Too bad they're junk.
