For $75-$100 I might be interested in a black set... Without the MGP logo of course.

I doubt you'll get very many orders from this site with a $200 sticker price.

Well said, I agree

I like them. My only concern would be clearance. Currently I can squeeze my pinkie finger in between the caliper and rim. Does that sound like I have enough room? Now if they fit could I still snake a wash cloth between caliper and wheel to clean them? Any possibility of a f150online discount? Definitely interested.

All you need is about 1/8th inch clearance. If you can take two quarters and slide them between the front of the caliper and back of the rim, they will clear.

We can get you a discount of $20 off, use coupon code (f15009). Please post pics of your rig after you have them installed.

I don't think you would say this about someone painting their calipers? We offer a much better alternative. We have sold many with the Mustang market with American Muscle since the first of the year. I realize styling your calipers is a new concept and will take some a little longer to get use to than others. I have 1200 emails in my inbox sent from a variety of car owners wanting us to develop our covers for their cars. Once you see these on a truck in person, I think you will appreciate them more

Cool product, but to expensive.

and rms8, I don't see how you can call it a "poser" item... I'd much rather have something I can slap on and forget about rather then paying big bucks for a brembo/wilwood kit or painting the stock calipers every 2 years.

MGP, just out of curiosity, have you heard of or had any of these come loose during normal operation of the vehicle? That could become a possible safety concern.

Also, with just an 1/8th of an inch of clearance I'd also be concerned with a rock or other foreign debris getting in there, especially in an off road situation. Have these been tested in an off road environment?

We have not tested them with off road driving. But they have been used in snowy, icey conditions and extensive use on rough dirt roads. Our initial test pilot has 80,000 miles on his vehicle and is an agressive drive with no problems or maintenance required. And no problems of covers coming off.

Our fastening system uses a biting nut and is secure. Our President who has designed these covers has 25 years of manufacturing experience in several different areas of industry, including aerospace. Our patented fastening system is one of the most important areas of difference between our products and others. The product was in R&D for four years before going to market. The look of the covers are great, but safety and fitment are our first concern. We are so confident in the craftsmanship of these covers, we have a 3 year warranty. Not many aftermarket products will offer such a warranty.

I'd get 'em...for no more than $75 for a set of four. As it stands, $50 per caliper is outrageous, as is the mark up. Even at $100 a set, you'd be making your profit via volume rather than the margin. Posts so far should be testament to that.

I would not pay more than 40 bucks for an entire set. Why would anybody, especially since you can get a pair of Kleen Wheels for 40 and they do a much better job of keeping your wheels clean than a caliper cover ever could.

MGP, what material are they made out of, mild steel, stainless, aluminum, plastic? The reason I ask is because I make steel for a living, and I know how much it costs.

I just reread the first post, they are made from aluminum. But I don't understand how you can justify charging $200 for a complete set when you use very little aluminum to make them. BTW kleen wheels are also stamped aluminum.

Also, G2 caliper paint is ~$40 and will hold up just fine. The only reason why it doesn't hold up is if you don't prep it properly.

The only other reason would be you hit the wheel against it when you're mounting the wheel and if that's the case, it'd happen with the covers too !!
