I've been looking for a used F150 with power-fold mirrors for about a month now, with no luck what so ever. I thought they were available as an option on the Lariat but can't seem to find one that actually has them installed. I've looked at about 50 trucks now and I'm about to give up.

If I can't find a truck that has them installed, how difficult is it to install them myself? Has anyone actually done this mod on an 07 or 08?

I need the power-fold because my garage doors are only 8 feet wide.

 

I believe that the wiring is there on the 07-08 models. You will need to change the mirrors and the door switch and maybe ad a fuse/relay to the fuse box.

 

That would be great if the wiring were there already. I could perform the upgrade myself.

If anyone has seen this rare animal please let me know, or am I wasting my time looking for something that doesn't exist.

 

my dads 08 KR has it, my sisters 06 lariat doesn't. my xlt doesn't.

 

i think the hunt would be much easier in a 4x4. i tried to add heat signal mirrors to my truck and none of the wiring was there, but to be sure you'd have to pull the panel and see

 

On Ford's web page I found a spreadsheet detailing what options are available for 2009 and the power fold mirrors aren't even available until you get into the King Ranch. I'm hoping the same isn't true for earlier years.

Does anyone know - for sure - if the wiring is installed in previous years models?

 

in 2008 you could only get the power folding mirors
1.supercrew fx4 with luxury package
2.it was an option on the lariat, don't specify 2 or 4 wheel drive
3. king ranch
4.unsure if the harley has this, it says deluxe mirror, but it don't specify fold or not
5. same thing with the limited

in 2007 it don't really specify power fold mirrors anywheres in the specs in the back of the brochure, but it shows inside the brochure that the king ranch has them standard.
if the truck has puddle lamps it will have the power fold.
