Dealer won't let me order Harley head lights without Vin #?!?

I called my dealer today because I wanted to order in a set of Harley davidson head lights for my FX4 SuperCrew and they told me they can't order them in because they need a vin #. I don't want to order any of those cheap s%^& head lights off e-bay is there a way around this or do I have to keep my stockers?

Yep, they don't seem to know the parts by name or number. They have to have the vin number to look everything up. I had the same problem when I bought my door handle with the keyless pad. Almost never convinced the guy that my vin number would not help him as I did not want the same thing I had, I wanted something different. I even had the part number. They tried to convince me it would never work. It does.

Just buy OEM HD's from Tasca. They know their stuff, plus they're a site sponsor.
