Wagner TQ brake swap!
I'm still running the stock rotors.. didn't see too much of a reason to do a rotor swap just yet.. I drive through a lot of steady stop and go traffic around town and the stock rotors seem to be holding up pretty well...
I can imagine I might swap them out for a little while down the road.. once they start to wear down and all.. but I wouldn't do it for "cosmetic" or "performance" reasons.. I can't really see my rotors behind my wheels anyways and I don't do any sort of high speed racing..
Either way.. with all that dough your rolling in FX4 I'm suprised ya haven't got some sort of slotted or dimpled rotors, ceramics or some big brake kit on ya truck..? (lol.. j/k) Personally.. aside from the dust on the stockers.. I couldn't have cared less about swapping them.. but it seems like such a good deal, I couldn't help but share

MIne are still holding up well. I got them with the 15% off too I just lost the recipt I was tired that morning
.
I still have to take the wheels off sometime and really get down and dirty on them from all the shiz that the stockers left.
Laters and congrats

I cosmetically couldnt care either. When i did my brakes about a year ago I just had the stockers turned and put on the carquest blue pads. I just want a pad that is lower in dust than the blues. Driving for two days and the wheels have a nice black film on them. Now i have looked into big brake kits, but they only make them for the front. i think Ill wait to see what your results are after a week or so before i jump on any
I just replaced the factory pads and rotors with Thermoquiets. I didn't want to turn the rotors, so I bought new rotors for $50 each. They did dust up pretty good the first day, but since, they haven't made that big of a difference. I guess it was the breakin mileage. Stops alot better now.
Another Wagner man here. Bought mine last spring along with Rotopro's drilled and slotted rotors. Best brake setup I've ever had. As mentioned earlier, the only dust I get is from road or dirt roads. I would highly recommend them.
Anyone know why Wagner has two different sku's for their front pads (MX679 and MX702)? Was there different caliper designs i nthe 97-03's?

Yes, they do. No, I have the semi-metallic. Too many reports of ceramic eating up stock rotors and the high quality semi-metallic work very well.

Thank you, I have aftermarket rotors right now with kevelar pads that work great but they dust just like stock. So I may give the ceramics a shot.

Looking forward to the report back. Just washed my wheels yesterday and today they have a nice film on them just from driving to work and back home, plus they are all mushy... Stupid carquest blues
I've had mine on for about two weeks, and hell yeah, the dust is gone. Very, very, very little dust. My stocks were absolutely terrible for dust. For under fifty bucks and an hour or two, you can't go wrong.
As for the different part numbers, when I got mine for my 06, they wanted to know the build date, because there are two different part numbers depending on the build date. Sounds goofy, but what the hell do I know?
