One small suggestion. If you were to do it again, i would recommend some 3m double sided tape so you could loose the two screws holding it in place.
Would just look slick and cleaner IMO.

I really wish i had either a laser table or a cnc table... i wouldnt ever have time for anything if i did though lol.
Once you remove that 12v power plate, there really is nothing behind it, other than a few small pieces running in the center, which I will be removing anyway because they will cast a shadow through the letters. There is a small lip left, but not enough IMHO to hold it into place, not to mention there is a slight curve to it all. I'll take it apart this weekend to start messing the getting the LEDs in, I'll show you what I mean then.

I know a guy with a laser table.

2nd one is on ebay for sale.

If it doesn't sell, I'll post an add in the classified here.

I think you may have just created a very popular mod.

probably should look into getting them made with the XLT, STX, FX2 lettering as well. and definately, post 'em on eBay.

btw, I posted a question in the classified ad. if you are selling like I think, you've got a sale

I think I'll start drawing the XLT, STX, FX2 up, see who would want them. The outside part won't change, just the guts.

you Lariat guys, check out what 05 sprcrw did with a little inspiration from me...

Yea i know what it looks like back there, i have a couple of switches to the left and right of my cig lighter. I just meant if it wasnt to be backlit i would do the 3m stuff. If its to be backlit the center braces will ofcourse be in the way. Im sure you got it figured out though.

Way to go, btw. I've got my aux input and switch on that plate, or else I'd be buggin you for an XLT plate--- or one that says "badass ****"

Well I started on mine today. Going a slightly different route than you went. I will post pics next week when it is done. Mine will be a backlit F150. Since I'm two wheel drive, I have that stupid coin holder. I want to find another one of the 12v plugs like is on the dash already and put it where the coin holder is. Im hoping that I will be able to scratch off the text and mount it upside down so the doors will flip opposite each other. if not, its not a big deal but that is what im planning to do with my 12v since it is useful and that dust collector...i mean coin holder is not.
