power point is just in the dash at the moment. might move it to inside the center console.

Looks great -- did you fab the piece up yourself?

I think it would be really cool item to have made with whatever script you might want. I'm thinking "Built -- Ford in the Blue Oval Logo -- Tough" would be a good one.....

I've got a friend with a laser table. So, I could do just about whatever I wanted to.

Details?? I really didn't take any pics of more than the outside...

Removed the 12v power point plate (it's just clipped in from the back side)
Designed the plate in CAD, sent it off to my buddy with the laser table, then chrome plated.
There is a piece of .030 lexan that I applied the red and grey vinyl to for color.
Bolted it in place.
I did have to enlarge one of the notches that was left in the plastic frame, so the bolts would be even on each side.
Very easy to install, the hardest part was getting the plate made, but that was seriously cake.

I will be installing white LEDs behind, mounted to the back of the ash tray on a vertical bracket. I have a fuse box to add for my interior LED project this summer, power will come from that.

Not sure what else to tell you guys, but feel free to ask away!

Man that is badass! I really like that. Be sure to get some pics of it after you get the leds installed. I really think it looks good!

looks great, i second the motion to post pics once its backlit. (subscribes for that)

One small suggestion. If you were to do it again, i would recommend some 3m double sided tape so you could loose the two screws holding it in place.
Would just look slick and cleaner IMO.

I really wish i had either a laser table or a cnc table... i wouldnt ever have time for anything if i did though lol.

Looks good. I would do that mod if I didn't use the 12v so much
