The biggest problem will be the 13.5" wide tire on a stock rim usually 12.5 is pushing it to get tire places to put it on. And you wouldnt have to regear when running 35's but it would get some of your performance back.

yes, you are gonna rub

only 2 ways to avoid it...put 1.5" spacer/wheel adapters on...or get new rims

the OEM rims can accomodate a 12.5" wide tire with about 1/4" of clearance between the tire sidewall and upper control arm ball joint. Those 13.5" wide tires are gonna rub before you even drive off

edit: it's gonna be so bad that you won't even be able to drive...otherwise you'll rub a hole in the tires sidewall with the UCA

Yes they will rub. Inner fender mod is needed. You can get it away with it on the street but off road use, they will rub.https://www.f150online.com/galleries/index.cfm Got the modifications in my picture gallery.

Tire will hit the knuckle...no way around it unless you use a wheel spacer.

alright thanks for the replies.

what about a 35x12.5x20 toyo m/t? I read up on where the side lug on these tires can possible rub the UCA.

Also i called 4wheelparts today to get a price on regearing my truck to 410s. They priced it $1325, seems high

Thats not high for a 4x4...I was quoted just over $1600 for everything.

Also you don't really need to regear for 35's, I've ran around for 2 years with 35's on 20's on 3.55 gears.

wait to decide if you want to regear. im assuming you have the 4.6? i have 35's and a vmp tuned xcal and truck is pleanty powerful. if you haul often then i would recommend gears but if your bed rarely sees anything just hold off on gears.

for the tranny's sake i would regear right away, the 4.6 has a hard time pulling itself around let alone 35's. that's just my opinion, i test drove a stx once, i swear an elderly lady could outrun it...lol

I agree 100%, my tranny went very prematurely because of my tires, 33x13's...the tranny wont hold a frickin gear...ruins them...Just ordered my gryphon to see if that fixes the gear holding, next mod is 4.10's or 4.30's
