I had my driver's side window motor go out. That's about it. I bought it with 62k and a year later I'm at 74k. I don't drive like a gram-mama either.

When I had my 04 FX4 it didnt give me any major problems and I used it like a truck and drove it hard. The only two small problems that I have had for it were the leaky third brake light and I had the IWE solenoid fail other than those two problems there was nothing. Just maintain it on a regular basis and you should be golden. The only reason I dont have my 04 any more is because I couldnt tow the size camper my wife and I want.

My 04 hasn't exactly been problem free, but it also gets used and abused a LOT more than most. Its been pretty good to me for the most part.

Its on its second transmission (72k), had one of the window regulators break (30k), and the heater stopped working and needed replacement (47k). It also has a busted ball joint boot which i need to replace (85k). And now at 93k on stock plugs, I'm expecting all 8 to break.

bought my 04 alittle over a year ago with 71k on it. loved the pickup. I have 100100 miles on it now, and i'm throwing codes like crazy, been to the dealer 4times in the past 2 weeks and they can't figure out what is wrong.

Mine has been wonderful. Only problem I had was a CEL, got a diagnostic, the fuel filter needed changed. Other than that not a problem. 72k miles, built 4/2004 in Virginia. Unsure if it has original plugs or not, but i'll have the dealer do it at 100k.
