Electricians needed

Electricians needed

I was thinking of installing a LED strip of lights to my rocker panels to use as puddle laps sence ford didnt give us any on the 150.Anyone know were to steal power from so they come on when the doors open only?

Josiah just did a mod like this, do a search. if i remember correctly there is a wire underneath the door trim he tapped in to.

Your looking for the dome light wire in the driver side sill plate, it will be black w/ blue stripe. There are 3 or 4 of them in there that are the same color so make sure you test it.

Ford put puddle lights on my F150. . .08 King Ranch.

correct, all 07+ f-150's have the puddle lamp wire already in the door regardless if you have puddle lamps in your mirrors or not.

So I can just get the wires from the door.I got the deluxe mirrors because i wanted them heated but no puddles?cnd cowboy u must have the tow mirrors.mine is a 08 xlt

07+ Deluxe mirrors (read Lariat/KR) have the puddle feature


but yeah, you can tap off that wire from the door. Those of us with older trucks have the same wire, it's just in a wierd location and harder to access
