Thanks,

Yes mine are the LT's. Since are you are towing I would, without a doubt go with the LT's. There is a big difference between P and LT tires, the sidewalls will not flex near as much (they have more plys) and the tread will also seems to last longer on LTs and Ps (I don't know why, just my personal experience).

On edit: My tires have roughly 35000 miles on them. I checked them all before I put then on this fall and they all had 7-8/32's of tread left.

Deal or no deal?

Ok here's the deal

I can get the tire replaced for free and only have to pay 17.00 bucks for a new cert.

OR

I can get 4 Good Year Wranglers AT/S in P265/70/17 for 457.00.....

That is with 150 dollars of trade in on three of the Generals, and the fourth tire of the AT/S would be free.....because of the screw in the General.

The 457.00 includes mount, balance, and new 4 certs.

What do ya think?

I know they are only P but.....they would be new tires....

I tried to get them at 400 even but they would not go any lower.

BTW, it is snowing here now maybe 2" on the ground so far and I tried to make it back home in 2hi....ahahahha......went around a corner at about 5-10mph with a very light foot and the back end spun around, applied the brakes but I just slid into a snow bank. I only had one front tire stuck in it about a foot if that and I could not get out in ...back tires just spun.....had to put her in 4hi to back out.

Is this my sign ?

I would say go for it. The AT/S are going to be a much better tire than the Generals.

Go for it. That sounds like a very reasonable price.

in a perfect world I would only run LT tires on a truck...but you go where the wallet leads you

the P rated will do the job just fine, not ideally though. they'll likely wear out faster than a LT, and towing large/heavy loads might get interesting, but they'll get you down the road safely

and safety is the #1 in my book. I say yes...especially for price. I can't find tires for under $1,000 myself

Here's the latest scoop...

I got four (4) Wrangler AT/S in LT265-70-17 going on tomorrow for $442.01

That's,
Mount
Lifetime bal. + rotation
4 certs for free replacement.

Will post up some pics after the install

I think I did, if I can say so myself

And really if you take the certs out at 22 bucks a piece the price for the tires and everything else is just over $350.00

I think I need a huge magnet to hang from my front bumper to pick them up!!

Although that would not work for everything.

Yes the LT's are more ($158.00 vs $133.00 for the P).....makes the deal even better. I was also able to get them to give me more for the generals on trade in.

wow...and excellent price...good choice paying the extra $100 for the LT's

wish I could get tires for even $200 a pop...priced 'em out last night at $380/tire for 18" and $410/tire for 20" rims

WOW, that's gonna add up quick!

Another good reason I am glad to have 17's......although I think 18's are a perfect size for these trucks.

And I think that I made the right choice with the LT's.
