Anyone have issues with wiper blades jumping/chattering?
I've changed the stock blades to bosch ion's still the same problem.
Any easy fix or with i have to take a trip back to the dealership.

I would at least try going back to stock. If that doesnt help then it is time to troubleshoot...

talking about chatter as they wipe across the windshield ? Or you mean they chatter and vibrate while going down the road ???

Just so we all are 100% clear.

just wanted to be sure. I have heard complaints about them bouncin around and makin noise during normal driving.

Sometimes the arm itself gets a little tweaked, or bent. Its straight up, or "digging" into the window. You want to to "drag" over the window. Hard to say it right, but take a peice of paper. Hold it at the VERY top, and sweep it across a desk. See how the paper "drags" behind ? Thats kinda whatcha want with the wiper. Sometimes a light little tweak, one way or the other, and it will be back to good.

I have heard good luck with the vinegar and fine steel wool. Never done that route personally.

It might be the old wipers were word and dried out, so they changed shape, giving the chatter. Then when you put new ones on, they aren't the best, and they chatter too. Just a thought. We run Bosch wipers on all our mercedes, but I have no experience with em on a Ford.

I just put on some Anco Contour blades last night (similar to bosch) and they work great so far, super quiet and smooth in snow/sleet, etc.

I think these ones...

I ran the bosch Ion's on the ranger for two years,no problems. As for the blades being worn out the trucks 4 months old so it shouldnt be that.
I think the arms on both wipers need adjusting, thanks for your ideas tho.

Bon-Ami cleanser and a scrub pad works really well also. Bon-Ami is a super fine grit that is safe for use on glass.

Ya, I didn't think it was because of the bosch.

Ya, usually when customers come in with that complaint, a slight tweak of the arm and they are good to go.

definately let us know if it works.

I ran into that problem. I traced it back to the window treatments I was doing (Rain X, PPG treatment etc). As the stuff wears off, it does unevenly. So you get a mixture of surface friction and the wipers skip and chatter and everything else. I solved it by applying the new treatments once the chattering started. Or you could just try and clean the glass. If different types of blades are doing it, my money is on the windshield. Could be road tar/grime or something like that also...

I use to use Rain X. That stuff would make my wipers skip.
