Which Leveling Kit
Which Leveling Kit
I have found a set of 305/65/18 BFG AT with 50 - 60% tread left for $300 and I am ready to get them but I believe I will need a leveling kit for them to fit. I eventually plan on getting a set of Bilstein's but really don't want to spend the extra cash right now since I just dropped $300 + on a new starter.
With that being said which of the leveling kits are most recommended. I have read about the AS and Daystar. Several shops I have called quoted me a price for the Daystar kit.
Also how difficult are these to install? I am what I would consider highly mechanically inclined. I am no mechanic but I know how to turn a wrench.

I have the 2" AS for my 08 Screw 2wd. It left me about .5" higher in the back. I went ahead and added 2" Fabtech blocks to the rear. I like the stance. Not sure what you need to fit the tires though. Im planning on going with 285/65s on mine.

Thanks PawPaw. Is the 2" or 2 1/2" what I am looking for? Like I said I would prefer to keep a slight rake so when I am towing the truck is level.
Where is the best place to purchase the autospring kit?

Autospring is sold on eBay.

Do the Autospring 2"
are you 4x4 or 4x2" that 305 is only a 33" right?
so if you are 4x4 and the 305 tire is a 33" tire, you don't need a leveling kit. they'll fit without any modifications
btw, get the 2" kit to retain your rake. My 2.5" has the truck sitting exactly level

Actually the AutoSpring only cost $68 Shipped to your door!!!!!!! VERY inexpensive!
You should only speak for yourself and not post info that you're not 100% sure about.
I installed my 2" AS leveling kit and my front end sits 0.5" higher than the rear. I'll be installing airbags just before racing season starts so the rear won't sag when I hook the trailer up. I posted this just last week and a few others stated the same happened to them, so not every truck is the same. He could go with a 2.5" kit and end up with it being 3/4" - 1" higher in front....who knows.Just want the person to be prepared in case the results are not as expected.

I ordered my 2.5" lift from a Top Gun Customs in TN and have had no problems at all and it was cheaper than all the other kits when I ordered it.
