1 of the sites is a "informative" site

the other site is a "purchase" site

they both offer the exact same info, same contact phone #'s...not sure how you are gleaming some sort of scam. Their eBay site references the "informative" site.

If you go to the Paypal Website, you can verify all of the below info.
Dispute: Must be filed within 45 days of sending payment
Claim: Must escalate the Dispute to a Claim within 20 days of filing a dispute
Settlement: Paypal will settle the Claim within 30 days of Claim filing
so lets do some simple math. You provided the start date in Post #1, and I'm assuming everything else occurs at the last possible day.
Jan 7th, Dispute filed - Day 0
Jan 27th, cutoff date claim filing - Day 20
Feb 24th, Paypal Settles claim - Day 50

that leaves roughly 45 days between the absolute latest settlement date, and what you claim is still an active Claim....Your story is full of holes.
I understand being pissed at a product, but you are going about it all wrong.

Story doesn't jive, the product appears to be good for most everyone else (myself included), and they have a damn near perfect rating.

Those factors added with your inconsistencies...well how do you think it looks?

there is always 2 sides to a story...Wonder what the companies side is?

i had to call them about the paypal dispute, they never changed the status even though it was closed. They basically couldn't issue me a refund and the company doesn't talk to me so I guess I'm screwed.

and yes its possible for one out of so many to be badly constructed....all seeing the fact that if you google problems with them, you get a whole list of complaints..........buts thats alright, guess its just a $300 loss to me now.

--- Mod just delete this thread --- sorry

please point out this whole list of complaints

found 1 complaint...from a guy with an X-Terra who joined a site and made 3 different posts and nothing else

since you obviously didn't do said google search, I'll post up the links to a few searches for you.

Enjoy

I believe you actually bought said Bull Guard...and that's about as much of your story that jives.

Everything else is double-speak and non-sense. And the pictures you have provided look like it was weld spatter and contaminates that are rusting...did you ever try to clean them up?

I also beleive your Paypal story is crap. Hunter Truck has a very clear policy about the Stainless Warranty. All Paypal has to do is peruse it real quick, and they would rule in your favor.
There is a whole other side to this story, but you are so intent on your little Smear Campaign, that you won't reveal the entire story.

Which in turns makes you look like a Troll who doesn't know when to stop

Wonder what Hunter Truck would have to say about this whole ordeal? Maybe we should invite them to weigh in on the issue and defend their side of the case?

either way, enjoy your $300 paperweight

@jrfonte

lower grade stainless will actually rust a little bit. My Magnaflow exhaust is a prime example of that

I am being honest but as soon as I gave them bad feedback on ebay for not issuing me a replacement for the rust spots on the "grille guard" not bull guard. I also mentioned about the welds cracking and rusting and yes I tried to clean it but it would just come back when exposed to oxygen like rusted chrome lugnuts do after you cleaned them.....they only last a day or two before showing the rust again.

Paypal didn't rule in anyones favor so I have no idea what happened.

Basically ever since I gave them the bad feedback they refuse to work with me or reply to me.....and give me the round about when I call. So there is no other side to this story..... I am sorry I sound like a troll but what else do you want from me? I'm a picky mustang owner and I know when stainless steel isn't real grade stainless steel.........i've seen more magnaflow exhaust systems with less chance of rust than this crap.

You don't sound like a troll to me. It sounds like you got bad customer service from a second-rate company and wanted to warn people that they did not take care of the issue. Even though many people have bought their products and not had any issues, it's still good to know that if you do have an issue, you should not plan on them doing anything about it. I won't buy anything from companies like this. I had an issue with Autospring a few years back and they basically told me to take a hike. Since then, many friends have gone with other leveling kits on my recommendation to avoid Autospring. Some of us appreciate you sharing your experience.

I agree 100%. I'd rather be aware of what happens to the minority that are mistreated when problems occur than just hope I am in the majority because all the other posters are happy with their products.

True, expressing bad experiences (which is fine) about a product is one thing, dragging a thread on and on and on about it is another.

Well I'm sorry but I'm just having a hard time contacting them and getting my money back so I feel others should know about their bad customer service and to think I was going to buy another for my Escape and my dad's F350 if they made it for it too....it just sucks and thanks.......I'll stop now.

Gee, what a surprise! Who would have ever seen that one coming? Seriously, did you think about what setup you were going for before you started buying parts? Brush guards, bull bars, and other assorted accessories that rely on location to the frame DO NOT LINE UP CORRECTLY WITH BODY LIFTS!!!!!

There are LOTS of good reasons to stay away from Body lifts, this is one of them...

well now its developing rust spots and its only about 3 weeks old.

Personally what a ripoff! I guess thats what happens when you buy a grille guard for $300. I know i've received good complements about them and not sure if anyone else has had problems but I really don't like rust and didn't expect it on a new grille guard.
Where's the pics of the rust... My black powder coated Hunter brush guard has been on for 3 years now, in coastal Texas with PLENTY of beach runs, no rust... I haven't scrolled the entire thread mind you, but... You don't show the rust in the original post...

As of 1/7/09, they have still refused issue me a new grille guard even though they have a lifetime warranty on stainless steel, and now I was told I wouldn't be helped at all since I have negative feedback. I hope they aren't ripping other people off this way too. I do hope I can get some decent help from their company or all of my money back.
Ebay and Paypal Resolution submitted, next with be through BBB and my credit card til I get it solved.
How much negative feedback do you have on Ebay?

I've been doing business on Ebay for about 12 years, and still have 100% positive feedback...

As I understand it, your complaint is that the part does not fit a body lifted (Modified from stock configuration) truck right?

Did they advertise the product to fit a body lifted truck? Uh, no they didn't.

You complain the stainless steel is rusted. And come on here and not show pics, the old saying is, without pics, it didn't happen.

If you are fussing about the grade 5 (steel) attachment hardware they use for mounting rusting. Yeah, they ALL do that. Manik, Mile Marker, all of them. You want stainless hardware? Go to Ace Hardware and buy it. NONE of them come with stainless fasteners. (Unless there has been a recent change that I don't know about).

Sorry about being so harsh in my response here, but I have had nothing but excellent dealings and service from Hunter, and HIGHLY recommend them. I only wish they made a winch mount type brush guard for our trucks... I would buy one in a hot second...

This thead was doomed from the start. He may have had a genuine complaint, but the way he went about it was all wrong.

I would still buy from Hunter.

Agreed.

I know I sounded like a jerk above. That wasn't my intent. I was trying as best I knew how to drive a couple of points home...

#1. You wouldn't build a house without a blue print of some sort, including measurements to make sure things line up correctly. I am as guilty as the next guy for going by the seat of the pants on measurements sometimes... But it should be blatantly obvious that frame mounted accessories simply don't line up to the body when you pick it up 3" and leave the frame where it was... Common sense should dictate that.

#2. Coming onto a forum and complaining about rust on stainless steel items that are quite popular among the members of the forum, without providing photographic evidence just REEKS of a troll... Like I said above, if there's no pics, it didn't happen...
