Honestly I looked at the pictures and they seem to be different, I really don't know how they fit but they did. I re checked them and they are sitting correctly in the fog housing....

I did the same thing with the fogs on my '07. If you twist the bulb just right and get that one odball tab in there - you CAN make it work.

Sorry if I came off the wrong way - I'm not saying it's impossible - but they are different - and not a direct replacment.

No problem. I jsut didn't want someone else to buy a set and say "well, they don't really fit"

I had 9145's in my '07. Well, that whole series has the same base - 9140's,9145's, 9155's & H10's. When I ordered the HID's for my fogs I got the wrong bulbs - but made them work. They've been in there for over a year now so I don't see a problem!!

I installed the H13 and 9005 Silverstars last night and I am more than impressed. Best money spent on the truck yet. The fog lights are night and day different.

Somebody mentioned a blue tint to one of the lights. I'm wanting to replace my stock lights (not fogs) but do NOT want to have a blue tint. In my area only really crappy cars seem to have those tinted lights. I'm just wanting a nice super bright light, maybe really white or an extremely low hint of blue.

People keep saying how expensive the HID's are but no price has been mentioned. Are we talking 300+, 400+? Any reputable places to get them?

I have probably posted this 10 times by now. Dex if you want a high quality bulb with NO blue at all try this www.piaa.com I have them in my truck and they are very bright and are sharp looking. They don't have the ricer look, more of a class look.

I'm sure others will tell you about different brands, all I'm doing is giving you an option...

The Silverstars are in no way a blue light, just a true white light. And on sale right now at Advance for $35 a pair. Hard to beat IMO...

I keep reading that their life span blows though. The Piaa's are nice but more than I want to spend on just a bulb.

Any idea on the true cost of an HID setup for our trucks?

Are the PIAA Xtreme White Plus H13 Bulbs hotter than OEM?
Will they fry my wiring harness?
The label reads 4000K (Kelvin) and H13 12v 65/55w>85/75w
Thanks!!

I've got the PIAA Extreme White Plus...H13 65/55 for the heads and 9005 60w in the fogs. Nice white and great colour match between them...haven't noticed any heat issues.
