with jlt tuning intact, saw a dyno with a jlt then an air force 1-the jlt numbers were a very big dissapointment in comparison to the af1 even with the jlt tune

How do you like the VMP tunes? I hear they are pretty good. I just ordered a Xcal3 from them today.

I have the JLT with the SCT xcal3 just put on my truck. Huge improvement!!!! Way more power, and throatier noise. I had "DTP" (Dynotuned Peformance) in Chesapeake, VA do mine doing a road tune with a wideband and everything perfecting it since we can't dyno the awd Harley truck. Great improvement, actually can pass somebody on the interstate now!!!!

I'm in your area and have heard about DTP. Do you have any idea if they much experience with tuning these trucks? How much did they charge? Even though a lot of guys have good results with mail order tunes, tuning the truck on the dyno right there in front of you would be a huge advantage, imo.

Thanks Fat Nick.
Openclasspro, I'd love to see the dyno graphs of which you speak.
No intake is going to out perform another by huge numbers, so that doesn't hold water.
I see who you support and your comment makes 100% cense.

I have hundreds of dyno runs testing intakes and when comparing aftermarket intake to aftermarket intake the numbers are all very close. So it comes don't to cost, looks and performance. Not to mention the JLT is totally different then the crowd.

I have personally run my 2004 SCREW 4x4 on 33's in the 1/4mile @ 15.5 @89mph with nothing more then a JLT and SCT tune. That's a full second faster then stock.

Those that have it love it, those that don't put it down. Hmmm...

i guess you feel the industry standard for every 10 degrees rise in ambient air intake = so many percent less power doesn't hold it's weight in water, you can keep the jlt - for pete's sake ,ive hooked my scan gauge up in a buddys 5.4 with jlt, and watched it sucking in superheated air at a redlight when it was 90 outside-it took so long for it even to come with 20 degrees of ambient on the turnpike - it wasn't even funny...
