Anybody ScotchGuard?

Hi all,

I just bought a 08 xlt and have the cloth seats everyone says stains too easily. Has anyone tried putting scotchsguard on their seats? If it would help, I'd like to do the treatment before my 4 and 5 year olds do their "treatment" on my new truck.

Thanks

Do you mean ScotchGuard? I have never heard of scottsguard.

If I had cloth seats, I'd rent a steam cleaner and clean them up good and then give them a ScotchGuard treatment or something similar to follow that up. If you don't clean them REAL good ahead of time, the guard won't do much good.

My dealer did the scotchguard on my grey cloth seats when it was brand new. almost 5 years later they still look great. We just had our first kid 2 months ago, so no kids have trashed my interior yet. But I never had a problem with water stains or anything like other people complain about on here.

I had the dealer put their guys treatment to the seats. The company is called VALUGARD. They did a great job, I have not had anything even close to a stain.

Ya, grab a can and hose 'em down. I did after I got mine cleaned, and it helps.

does wal-mart carry scotchguard? What department would it be in? My wifes car could really use that stuff.

well it took 1 and 1/2 bottles of scotchguard for the seats and 1/2 a bottle for the carpet. I'll likely put down another coat on the carpet today.

Thanks for the help.
