Slight shudder on accel?

When I accelerate heavily, about 3000 RPM's, there is a slight shudder coming from the back end. Is this a major problem or what? Any need for me to it to the dealership on some warranty work because of this? My baby only has 18,600 miles on her.

can't hurt to have it looked at...you shouldn't feel anything unless you are rounding a corner

I've read about others with the same problem, my 04 does it as well. I didn't notice as much before the 35's, but it's always been there.

Be thankful you don't have an 04. Mine has been plagued with vibration issues. As soon as I get one corrected another shows up.

I just hope it's not as serious as the differential grinding itself up.

Maybe if it is a differential problem, I could convince them that it had a set of 4.10 gears in it and have a new set swapped in! I doubt they're that stupid but I could find out!

With the 8.8 you can tear up the spider gears fairly easily if you ever purposely loose traction on a slick surface, and then while still transferring power to a surface with traction.

So drifting around corners when it's wet is bad, right?

Yeah, like that! It happens on the 8.8 in trucks, not so much in the cars. You see a few come into the dealership, most techs know it when they see it.

I'm not saying that I drift around corners, kind of hard with an open diff, but I do run it a little more aggressively in the rain. And on a further note, I couldn't recreate the shudder today while driving it. It happens at random times I guess. I'll take it to the dealer if it progresses, but for now it's fine.
