quick hood/grille question....

are the adjustable rubber stops behind the bottom of the grille supposed to keep the grille from shaking when you close the hood? it looks like that what they're there for, but it also looks like i need more adjustment than they provide. thanks.

Try and bend them out slightly. There isn't much to them.

Yeah for sure. I work in a bodyshop and that's what I do if I ever have any fitment issues.

thanks. i have them unscrewed all the way and they help keep the grille from flopping around when you close the hood. it's not perfect, but it's better.

Honestly, I think they are there more to support the grill against the wind resistance while driving. Not so much for the shaking when closing.

Agreed. 06+ isn't even adjustable. They are just nubs.

hmm, i didn't think that the grille would mive that much while driving with all the passages to allow air to more through it. i just wanted to try to minimize the amount of slop in the grille when you close the hood. the billet grille i have is very close the grille shell.

Think about it. At 65mph, you not only have a 65 mph wind hitting it, but if there is any headwind, you have that too. So 65mph plus a 30mph headwind equals a 95mph wind up against that grill. With nothing else behind it, it would probably end up against the AC coils.

You have to be careful if you put too much tension on it it could be more likely to wanna crack in cold weather.

there's still a 1/4" - 1/2" between the grille and the nubs. good looking out though.
