Has anyone tried this?

My idea is to install the center console that has the shifter into my 2008 XLT. It would replace my jump seat/flip down console. I would not use the console shifter, but instead stick with my stock column shifter. I would try to turn the space where the auto shifter in the console was into some sort of storage or cell phone holder, not sure yet.

Any ideas? Anyone have pictures or advice of a similar idea?

I could always put in the other floor console, but like the idea of putting in the lariat or fx4 console.

if you want the center console shifter you will have to replace your dash aswell. if i were you i would look into after market consoles or make your own.

Personally, I replaced the jumpseat with an XLT console from ebay. Perfect for my needs.

No, mine is like this. It's an XLT center console. They have them on ebay. Just search f150 console on ebay.
