I have a rize 8" lift with 37s and have had no issues. I have had it on the truck for about 2 years now. The quality of their kits is above and beyond any other 8" I have seen. If you are looking for a truck I can help you out with one of those too!

Well I am running 20s myself. If you want a 6 rize also makes one or I my second choice would be a fabtech. Gears would definately be a good option. I have stock with my 37s and they would definately help. Depends on what you are using the truck for.

BDS makes a nice 6" lift. I have 10" with 38s and 4.56 gears are plenty for this setup if you drive highway as well as offroad. Unlike many on here I use my truck to drive to work AND hunt/offroad. I've had the lift on for 1.5yr and so far zero issues and zero regrets. But for a 6" I'd get the BDS, it's a quality setup.

Rize actually no longer makes 6" kits. Rize is good stuff for 8" plus

anything 8"+ just requires a few extra things
-regear soon after or with the lift for 37's+
-Possibly-probably need driveshafts
-longer brake lines

Majority of people with 6" dont need the last two, and its a good idea to regear with anything 35+ it reduces wear and tear on the tranny. Ive had no driveline problems to speak of, and no problems with the lift. but i regeared, got new driveshafts and the kit comes with brake lines

Sorry to hijack. FX4Life. A question?

Why do you say driveshafts

The only driveshaft that needs to be replaced (lengthend) Is the rear. Correct?

You could just do the rear i guess, but why? they are both going to be short?
They lengthened both of mine. I dont guess you have to get the front done, but why not, it cost me less than 500 bucks for driveshafts. I figured going into it id spend 1k+ for the driveshafts, new joints, paint, labor and balancing.

You have to remember needing driveshafts is hit and miss, even rize will tell you that. I needed them so have a few others but i dont think Texan had to have any.

You would be fine with a 6" lift, only issue might be you want more lift after its all said and done with a 6"lift and 35's you would want to regear to 4.56's. Most of us with 8" plus have zero problems after its all said and done

hmm.. well I'm going to say.. obviously, yes.

anywho.. I have a 2008 FX4 with the ProComp 6" lift, 35" Toyo MT on 20" wheels.. My truck drives great.. I did regear to 4.56 just for the peace of mind and more get up and go. Personally, for being a Supercrew, I think my truck looks and feels very proportioned in having a 6" lift and 35" tires as opposed to being stock, or going any bigger.

I'm running the procomp 6" as well But added bilstein 5100's to push my front lift to 8" and put in a AAL kit in the rear to bring it up higher. I'm actually a bit high in the rear but not by much. My drive shaft angles on the front are actually pretty good compared to others.
