Like you mentioned... the dealer just called and said they didn't see any problems with it. I kinda suspected that would be the case too. They said they scanned something called processor 6 or something like that (I think that's what he said). He said it usually shows an issue even when you don't get a SES light. They also flow tested the injectors and they also checked out good. I guess the good news here is that my complaint is on file and there was no charge for this.

I'm half temped to buy a new set of injectors from TASCA, a set would be right at $200 and I wouldn't have to worry about burning up my cats or ruining my engine if this is the cause, which I'm thinking it is.

update on my misfire issue.

It did it again on Sunday and Monday but again with no SES light. So I dropped it off Wednesday evening for the dealer to take another look at it. Thursday they called me twice, once in the morning and again that afternoon and said that it still has no codes present and they aren't seeing it doing it. So I ask them to keep it another day. This morning they said it finally did it and they read a P0306 code which is a misfire on cylinder #6. They replaced that injector and so far so good. Now I'm only hoping the other 7 are this easy and don't kill my truck when they go too

thanks for the update. Hows your fuel filter look ? Last time changed ? might be the culprit of the bad injector. Just a thought.

Been replaced three times already, first time at 15K then again at 30K and the last time was at 39K. I almost always run 93 octane Exxon or Shell gas. I've only ran two tanks of 89 and two of 87,the first two tanks when I bought it was with the 87. This injector started giving me problems with both 89 and 93 octane in it. The first time it started I was running the stock programming with 89 in it. The second I was running the level 2 Gyphon can tunes with 93. The first indication was at 41K and the dealer finally found it today at 44K miles. I'm just glade they did and I didn't loose my engine in the process.

So this tell me that filter replacement and choice of gas brand or octane doesn't matter. They will stick at anytime for no reason.

damn. The usual culprit will be dirt and something getting stuck in the injector. But yes, any part can fail for no apparent reason. Called "defects". When you think about the amount of parts produced, the amount of trucks made.... some parts and some truck will end up being problematic. Glad they fixed it for you, and glad you posted back to let us know. Always good info.
