keyless entry locks

recently purchased a 2007 f150 supercab and it came with the keyless entry door lock on the drivers door. the dealer did not have the code, called ford to register the vehicle and asked about this. I was told the code is on the computer module behind the rear seat backrest. any idea of how to pull this backrest out easy? I cant find any bolts, levers etc.

If you bought it from a Ford dealer, he should be able to hook it up to a computer and read the code that way a lot easier than ripping out the rear seat. If he is unwilling to do that, the he is a p-poor dealer.

I am buying an 07 with this keyless entry feature so I am also curious about this....can the code be changed? or is it one per vehicle for the life of the lock?

Can the keyless entry feature be disabled?

It has one permanent code, that always works, and you can also program in an additional code, that can be changed.

I recommend programming an additional code and using that. That way you can change the code when you change the woman.

finally got the door code. took the truck back to Carmax for a potential OBD II port problem, recall and the code. Carmax took it to a Ford dealer for all three items and nipped the problems in the bud. the dealer charged $35 for the code of which Carmax absorbed. good to go now
