I cut off the tabs and filled them and scuffed up the chrome to paint them dark shadow gray to match my wheels. IF they had a FX2 package and had that on the tab i would have kept the tab. and yes they are all getting replaced if you want the one for the tail gate order one for a flareside.

i cut them off with just a pair of diag cutters to get half way close and filed the rest and then filled the back with 4040 and some putty and sanded smooth and primered and "hopefully" will be painted today. i am dying to put them on... need to wash truck first its nasty.

Picked mine up today.... how are you guys mounting them? I havent taken my old one off yet but do the pins line up? the back of the new one has more of a curve to it than the old design. I was thinking on machining off those 2 end curves off that stick up higher... Anyone have them on their truck yet?

All the holes line up, use a heat gun to warm up the current ones. Use some dental floss to start and lift one edge they gently pull off the emblem. Warm the 3M tape still on the fender. There is one large hole in the body panel, then I found it at squeezed the tape together and pulled it all off at once. Use some WD40 to get off the glue around the edges. Waxed the area, warmed the area and the new tape on the new emblem with the heat gun. Lined up the holes, (one is smaller) pressed it on. And presto you did the same thing that highly skilled UAW members do thousands of times a day all across the fruited plain.

i know... ive had my badges off before... i guess the new ones looked like the ends stuck out further so the adhesive part wouldnt touch the truck. I held a credit card to the back and everything appears to be the same height. Ill be throwing mine on this weekend once i put my front bumper back on and wash the truck

What part # are you using for the fender with no model designation? I don't want the banner tails on the logos either.

Looks nice!!
