Two work mates had brand new VW Golfs. VW, or any German made car for that matter are known for their electrical nightmares. Both my work mates dumped their VW's because they spent more time in the shop than on the road. Those are only two people amongst a few others that I know of that had problems with their VW's. Who wants to spend time at the dealer taking their vehicle in for warranty work all the time? It's a major PIA. I went through that with my last GM. Never again.
My friend had a new Jetta, when we exited from the Gym one time, he turned the Key & nada.......I ended up takin him to the VW dealer up the road....

For those talking about electrical problems on VW"s, I have owned two and my dad has two, one has over 300,000 miles. Out of all of them one had an electrical issue. I can't say the same for the four ford trucks I have owned in the past 8 years. 3 of the four have had intermittent re-occurring electrical problems, like my current 08 King Ranch with auto climate control. It will blow hot air and switch to freezing cold and back to hot. Whenever I take it to the dealer it wouldn't do it for them. I finally got it to do it for them, they replaced the blend door actuator. . . worked great for 4 days, now it is F'ed up again. I don't even want to drive this thing anymore, nothing worse then having piping hot air blowing at you out of the dash vents when the A/C is on and it is hot out. Each of my four Fords spent more time in the shop than my two VW's combined.

Trust me in my line of work I have seen plenty of dead people in F-150's, probably just as many as any other type of vehicle....... I am happy with the decision I made, thats all that really matters anyway.
You dont have to take it so personal dude. We're all just ****** with you.

Although some might not be but who cares its the internet....

Nothing wrong with a rabbit. Put you a 6 inch lift on that thing and jack it up!! Then you'll have a jacked rabbit Just messin with ya man, gotta do what you gotta do. The $450 to $600 on gas a month is starting to take its toll. I'm afraid I'm going to have to get me a small gas saver and park my truck during the week. Hate to do it, but i'll always have a truck. I'm 32 , and my first ride was a truck and my last ride will be a truck.

Uh oh. The Rabbit is numero uno on this list:

Top Ten Gay Cars

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
