Kind of depends on if you like the round or the rectangular fog lights. My 05 was a late build date so most of the issues on the 04's and early 05's had been taken care of. I've had no issues with mine.

Love the video troberts6874, too damn funny !!

My 05 is like an 06 due to late build date, but regardless I haven't had anything other than a couple of quick and easy fixes.

Where abouts north of 60 might you be? The Territories?
Originaly from outside Ottawa, been in Iqaluit Nu for the last 3 years. Heading home January 8th....woohoo!!!

we have an 06,07,08. not one problem with any of them yet. grandpa has an 05 and he hasnt had any problems either. so 05-08 would be fine to get. 06-08 have round fogs. 04-05 have rectangular fogs. thats really the only difference exterior wise.

Focus on the truck features that you want. If you find one of a certain year, that's great, but don't let the year be the driver. Be sure to find someone who can run an Oasis report for you (Ford dealers and probably a few individuals here can do that) See what level of repair/warranty work has been done. This is a far better method to determining if a truck has potential issues then focusing on a year.

Use this tool to steer you away from trucks that have repeating problems.

Wow, can I ask what you've been doing up there for 3 years? Are you heading back to Ottawa for good?

For those that don't understand how far north northof60 is, check out this map.

EDIT...BTW I used to love the show North of 60! Still watch reruns now and again.

Sure you can. Pretty boring answer though. I'm a property manager for the feds, manage a handfull of buildings up here.
Me moving back is why I sold my truck. I got more for it here than what it would have been worth in the south...I think...lol I'm hoping I can get into a newer model for almost the same amount of cash I sold my truck for.

I think you make a very good point svt2205! and I thank everyone else who chimed in. One way or another I'll have something by mid November. I'll let ya all know how I made out!
