Ever heard of fab work?
Are you daft? The fuel tank is made of plastic on these trucks.

You could always fix a hole in the tank with Mighty Putty. That stuff is supposed to fix everything. Billy Mays would never advertise something that wasn't revolutionary!

Locking gas caps and siphon proof filler necks just frustrate would be gas theives. Building a smarter mouse trap just makes the mice get smarter.

But nothing says thanks for not poking a hole in my gas tank quite like 5 gallons of free gas. The watered down type of course. Its kinda hard for these ****** to get around to steal everybody's gas with a hydrolocked engine. lol

FWIW sugar in a gas tank doesn't do squat. Sugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline, so it just settles to the bottom of the tank.

You guys are reading too much Snopes lately (or not reading it fully). The pickup lines for gasoline are at the very lowest spot on the tank so you don't run out of gas with 3 gallons left in the tank.

What sugar does is it clogs the fuel filter and can damage the fuel pump, leaving the idiot stranded after about 20 miles of driving. Plus it'll require a nice $300 bill to drop and clean the tank.

Good thing you can't actually get underneath my truck unless it's jacked up

Joking right ??? Sorry bud, but those "splash guard" (not skid plates) don't do jack and are about as durable as a sheet of construction paper. Would take a drill all of half a second to get through.

Locking gas cap isn't needed. Like someone said, keeps the honest, honest. You don't want people fawkin with your truck ? Look into one of those pricey, high tech security systems.

You said you found the cap open, but no fuel missing right ? The morons tried it, hoping to score big with your big truck, and found out it doesn't work like that anymore.

Anyways, I would listen to Quintin, and follow Ox's advice. I doubt I'd put a whole gallon in the Jerry can though... too much money wasted !

Welding the gas tank ??

I'd rather have a hole in my tank than have a broken filler tube & hole in my tank.

The filler tube alone is 211.45 bucks.

Tank is 500.

Try and guess what cap my buddy has on his truck now.

You'll only go about 1 mile, and it will cost more than that. Fuel pump needs to be replaced. Don't ask me how i know...
