Help guys please with rims tires, leveing kit

Well guys maybe you can give me some info on the information tha the local truck shop gave me and prices....

First 17" 951 black moto metal rims $800 bucks for all 4 What do you think???

Next 4 Bridge stone Revo At 285/70/17 $153 each ???

2 1/2 Leveing kit on top leveing kit he said will make the truck ride the same as stock, but if i did the ones that go under the springs would make it ride rough,$515 ???

alinment $60

mount and balance $80

Any help or info on your thoughts would be great......Also if anyone has this size tire or set up can you post pictures please,I dont no if its a good deal or not,but seems kinda high but as for the tires it seems like a good deal, but im not sure any input would be great thanks guys

also these set up would be going on a 04 F150 Blk 4 doors 4x4

Personally, I'd go with 18x9's with a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire.

I just think wider tires look better. Strictly personal preference. Also, I think there is a better selection of 18 inch tires and wheels.

i agree.

also most of those prices seem a bit high to me... look online for pricing on most of the products to make sure you're getting the best deal.

moto's almost always look good

Next 4 Bridge stone Revo At 285/70/17 $153 each ???
good tires...but I'd pass. tirerack.com has the Revo at $220 a pop + shipping for the 285x70x17 "LT" rated and $186 for the 285x70x17 "P" rated tire

look at the Destination M/T...it's $200/tire in 285x70x17 and a very meaty looking M/T for the 17" rim....I'm actually buying this tire or the new BFGoodrich KM2 in the 285x70x17 myself on the 1st

2 1/2 Leveing kit on top leveing kit he said will make the truck ride the same as stock, but if i did the ones that go under the springs would make it ride rough,$515 ???
is he serious? the top-kit is only $70 online...and about 1 1/2 hours install for a driveway mechanic. I did it myself with jackstands in my driveway.

Maybe $300 tops for labor/parts/alignment to get the leveling kit installed...although, those 285 tires will fit your 4x4 without the leveling kit.

DO NOT GET THE KIT THAT GOES INSIDE THE COIL-OVER. It messes with your ride and stretches your shocks. The Top kit is the best way to go

alinment $60
good price...but not if is ontop of the install price

mount and balance $80
rip off. should be $10/tire at most

I think you should evaluate this deal alot more. The rims sound like a good price to me...and that's about it. It sounds like he is trying to take advantage of you.

This guys install price, mount price...it's all overly priced...by alot

I agree that wider = better looking

but the 18" rims suck for tire selection. and they are alot more expensive too boot. about $100-200 more per set of 4 tires vs. a 17" rim

also i do belive that the moto metals 17x9 inch rims have 4.5 backspacing and trust me they will stick out past the fenders the 18X9 with 5 inches of back spacing will be flush with the fenders and with 285/65/18 tires they will stick out about 1/2 inch past the fenders .
