hey guys,,, ive decided to go with the Hella grille w/halogen lights!!!. im prettty stoked about it.. im going for the oem look.... and thnk it wil give my truck a more offroad look.... problem is i cant decide witch headlights to go with.. im think i want fx2 heads, because they match the color of the fenderflares and the black plastic on the grille.. but i just want to get yall opinion

FX2 heads or HD heads or Hella heads?? and should i leave the fogs as is or try and tint them???

hellas are awsome lights.. i have them. as for the fogs, get them tinted or spray some niteshade on them.

 

You sure you don't want the street scene like me? Tint or niteshade the fogs would be cool.

 

Tint the fogs and any headlights would work. The difference in color between your grille and fender flares is minimal and not worth the extra money the FX2 lights will cost you compared to the harleys or hellas

 

id go hella's since the grille is black you can get the grille and heads on amazon for cheap! Id nightsade the fogs as well. Then do some ptm stock flares, ptm fX2 handles and throw some paint on the skull caps. then get some black rims or paint the stockers...that would be a sick setup on the blue truck.

 

Now that sounds like a good idea, forget what I said earlier and go this route

 

harley tails and heads.
saleen grill
black moto metal 951's or xd hoss's in black.
tinted windows.

that would be one sexy truck if you did all that.

 

I agree about the harley tails and everything else but the saleen grille? Don't get me wrong it's a nice grille but..........it's..........not..........a......... .saleen. Might as well stick some F-350 fender vent badges on there and maybe a cobra badge and some GT500 decals. I mean, who cares, doesn't actually need to be any of those things just as long as it looks cool

 

thanks for the replys guys.. i think im gonna go with the Hella's theere just so much cheaper.. i can get the grille and headlight package on amazon for like $550..

as far as PTM, i definetly gonna paint the skull caps,,, but leave the flares and stuff black,,, to keep the color broken up a bit,, I would love to get BLACK rims, i think it would look just sick on my truck... but ive decided not to go with a 6" lift.. what rim could i get in black that has almost the same specs as stock?? (to keep the tire sucked)

o yeah,, im also gonna be swithing out all my chrome badges with black powder coated ones.. (chrome is the devil !! )

 

just paint your stockers. The FX4 rims look awesome when painted black, there is also a thread about how to do it in appearance products.

 

I vote for the Hella headlights. Thats what I am running.

 

the KMC XD hoss's are freekin sick.. they would loook awesome on my truck i think..
along with the grille and head mods.

Well Shoot! Since we have the same color truck...let me give you what it would look like pic! I am running outside now to snap quick picture. It is rainy here so my truck is filthy but you'll get an idea of what it would look like. **EDIT** tried batteries in camera (DEAD) charging now as I type. Pictures shortly.
