go up to the chips, tuning & programmers forum-- more than enough information to digest- everyone has their favorites, but the decision is yours in the end.

I don't know about "best" but I have the Edge Evolution and I like it. It fits nicely in my ash-tray holder after a couple little mods for the cable to fit through.

depends on what you want. you want basic, edge is nice. you want fully custom, then you cant beat an XCal2 or 3.

I'd like to see a picture of that if you can muster one. Not that I'm unhappy with the dash pod mount on the left-hand side but I'm always interested in seeing what others have done. Can you post a picture?

Sorry... I don't have any pictures... but someone else does...

Check out the bottom of that post. The Edge is mounted like mine. I got the idea from this post I think (or another one?)

Here is the picture re-posted for easy reference

Its not too hard to do... just take out the ash-tray insert (ash-tray tray?) and then you have to cut a groove for the cable to come through. I took the ash-tray out and used a dremel to cut the opening. Then you can easily feed the cable they give you around the dash panel and to the ash-tray.

The main reason I mounted mine this way was for security... it seems crazy to put it right on the dash where anyone can see it... re-sale on them is usually $200-300 and I don't want to tempt a thief. I leave my ash-tray closed when I'm not driving (and about 1/2 the time I am driving) and you have no idea it is there.
