Question Strange screeching noise

Ok so I already had a post about this but I figured Id bring it up one more time since the last post wasnt too helpfull. Me and my roommate (on august 20), decided to go hang out at our freinds house for alil while so we got in my truck and pulled out of the parking space and as soon as I started to turn my wheel right and started moving foward we heard this horrible screaching noise. I stopped as soon as I heard it and we both jumped out and started checking everything over and couldnt find anything, so we got back in and started off again and figured if it did it again we would check it over more. Well it did, we got a about a mile down the road and it did it again right before the traffic light. I pulled into a pizza place and we checked my truck from top to bottom and still couldnt find anything. At this point I didnt want to go any farther because I didnt want to screw my truck up, but we kept going since we were almost to our freinds house and it didnt do it. When we left alil while later it didnt do at all on the way back. I am taking it into my shop tommorow to check it from top to bottom but just wanted to know if anyone had any idea what might have caused this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How many miles are on your truck. It is possible that there maybe dust in the rear brake drums. When the truck has sat and the brakes have cooled down the moisture gets into the dust and makes it collect and build up. I could see this noise when you back up and apply the brakes. This mostly happens when there is a lot of moisture in the air. Check all the brakes over real good. It could be the front brake pad too.

If your truck is 4x4 it may be your CV axle.

Check to see if grease is comming out.

Try turning the steering wheel stop to stop without moving with engine running and see if you can duplicate the noise, it might be the belt slipping. Might raise the RPM a little also while doing this.

A few months ago I had the heat shield just forward of the muffler come loose. It would rub on my driveshaft and cause a horrible screeching noise at low speed. Hopefully that's all it is.

I dont think F-150's had drum brakes since 1996.

I would check the belt too, also is it possible that while your cranking the wheel all the way to one side you're also flooring the truck?

is it only when you step on the gas?

I had a problem this week after i lifted my truck with a horrid screeching sound everytime i hit the gas above 10MPH. i found out it was the vaccume hub line. i didnt have it connnected on the passengers side, i connected it and switched it from 4WD to 2WD once or twice and never had the sound again.
