The leather is coated. Conditioners wont penetrate the coating so they wont do much good. My favorite product is Optimum Protectant Plus. Looks great, nice matte finish and has UV protection. Here is a pic after the entire interior was wiped down with Optimum Protectant. Hard to tell because of the flash but you get the idea.

My leather is still new but i use groits garage leather care spray and it seems to work very well. I use to use armor all leather care on my mustang but i did not like the greasy film left behind.

Optimum Protectant Plus? I have been looking for a FLAT no shine protectant and I will have to give this stuff a try. I hate glossy interiors and want the factory new look. Have not been able find anything that is not glossy. Mostly just want to UV protection and something that cleans.

FYI, I use all Zaino products on my cars and truck and really like them, BUT they just came out with a leather product and I bought it. Used on my Cobra and then got into it with Levis on (long after it had dried) and my seat got stained BLUE. I am replacing the seats anyways, but don't use this stuff. I don't know what they did and I am going to call them about it. They normally make great products and I won't use anything else on my vehicles paint. The mad scientists over their must have rushed this one to market???

BTW... I am trying to use the grab bar more to lift myself UP and OFF the seat in my new truck to prevent the wear on the seat as the original poster had mentioned.

I like to use Zaino Z-10 on my seats because I like the leather smell. Unless the vinyl coating on out leather is cracked, they is no way leather conditioner is going to touch the leather underneath. Thats why you are better off using a product like Optimum Protectant or 303. One of the best ways to clean our leather is mix Woolite 5:1 in a spray bottle, spray onto seats and scrub with a micro fiber towel. Top that with Optimum Protectant and I think you be be impressed.

I have cloth, but the seat is a bad design. The bolster in the seat is getting very worn from sliding in and out over it.

Mine looks ratty already at 40,000 miles. That's why I have 2 extra seat bottoms in boxes.

My seat looks like Sh*t. There is a rip in it (the side bolster has a rip across it). The seat is worn as anything. The only time ive ever seen anything like it was a convertable thats always open, what those seats look like. Ford definitly didnt do the right thing there with the seats.

I'm not short by any means. The truck's not on the ground either. Even with a 3" drop you still have to climb into these things. And if you want to keep the seat in once piece you have to grab the handle and pull yourself up over the seat instead of sliding the ole can in there.

I use mink oil on mine and it soaks in really well, so I not sure the coating is blocking leather treatments. My seats look just like the day I bought it except where my belt color has rubbed off and I'm too lazy to try and get it off.

what have you done care wise? I've had leather seats go 10+ yrs (Fords) with virtually no problems. They were all deep south trucks (Texas, Georgia, South Caroline) that saw plenty of hot weather and lots of sunshine.

If you care for it, it will last. Let the leather dry out, it will take maybe 1 yr before it starts to crack and get that vein look

damn, I'm 6'3" and I can almost just sit into my leveled F-150...I usually have my feet on the ground and then scoot out when exiting. I've been trying to use the steps so I can avoid wear on the side of the seat. Still looks like new, but no use to try f'ing it up
