Leather Seat Wear

My drivers leather seat is showing some wear from sliding in and out of the cab. What have others done about this problem? I had the same problem in my old truck but would like to prevent it if possible from getting any worse.

Go to an upholstery shop, they should know how to and if not know someone who can retexture, restore and redye the leather. I'm probably going to do that pretty soon here, they might also repaint my faded dash.

I really don't understand what you are saying Shine

Supposedly the leather seats are part leather and part vinyl...but I've never heard of the leather being plasticized.

but yeah, use a good leather cleaner, then follow that up with a leather conditioner. My Bronco had 283,000 miles and the leather was still in decent shape after 10 yrs. Just keep at it

I suggest you visit the Guru's in the detailing section.

I'm probably commiting sacrilage to them, but I use the Armour All Stuff. Never had an issue with way to many vehicles to count...but they can steer you in the best direction
