You will forget you even put it there its so out of the way, but it will always be within reach.
Thats what I was looking for, That is where ill be mounting mine. Did you just use some self-taping screws?
Also, I got my maglight clips a few days ago when I was at crystal beach. I got them in an ace hardware. I've looked everywhere in fort worth for them and couldnt find them.

I just bought some at the last gun show here and I am in the same boat you are. I have a 4D cell LED mag-lite and I just can't figure out where to mount the clips

Maglite vs. Surefire

X3...but it depends what you use your Maglite for. If you need it for lighting, then the Surefire is definitely the way to go. I have 2 for the rides and going to buy a 3-cell for the house. Nothing lights up the night like the SureFire. For defense, it is great for blinding as well as easier to handle with one hand and the pistol in the other.

Now if you need it for bashing heads, nothing beats the Maglite....

I've got a small Sure Fire in a charger on the passenger side of the console and my 6 cell Maglite here, best spot for it. Picked up the Maglite clips at Ace Hardware and just used self tapping screws to mount them

Surefires are nice (so are pelicans), I got mine when I was in Afghanistan but the newer LED mag-lights are bright as hell, more widely available and still cheaper then either surefire or pelican

I have mine in the factory maglite door pocket. You know, the one that is shaped like a maglite and and fits it perfectly.

I suggest one of these, http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=89 I would mount it to the black piece of plastic next to the floor under the A/C controls, that is of course if you do not have the factory console.

I'm old school. I would much rather have the metal SL-20X w/ a SL-35 lamp. I just don't like those plastic lights.

My Streamlight Ultrastinger http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=12 is on the charging station which is mounted inside my center console. BEST light I've ever owned.

Just got a Super-Tac http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=136 yesterday for "other operational uses." Gotta love a Streamlight!
