my truck is really starting to bum me out, seems everytime i drive it I found something else wrong.
things to fix...
new brake pads (bought those today..brother will prolly put them on tomorrow)
new rotors
fog lights leaking water
loud squek comming from rear when going over the smallest bump
rattling sound comming from the front
fuel door broke ($83 for part and labor)
so my leveling kit sits on the counter...i've had it for months now..just never get the money or time to put it on.
plus all the other things i'd like to get done to it..but ah well it shall remain stock for now

the squeking annoys the he** out of me, it never did it before but now it's been doing it cause i'm back in my home town and the roads here are horrible
I had the same thing when I got my truck. I sprayed the crap out of the leafs which took care of some of it. The rest of the noise was the tailgate latches which got quiet once they got sprayed down with some more WD-40.
Drilling a small hole in the bottom of the fog light housing will provide a band-aid for a while. Water will leak out and air will get in to take care of the condensation. just try to find an inconspicuous spot to drill and it only has to be a small hole. This worked on a few of my cars.

you got silverstars in the foglamps? i did and noticed a leak or should i say water in there. i blew some compressed air in there at about 5 psi for 10 minutes to dry it out. put a little silicone on the lamp base before putting back in and it was good. since then both fogs have burnt out and i put the stocks back in cause i talked to a couple other guys and they had the same problem with them burning out. i cleaned all the silicone off prior to putting the stock bulbs back in and they did not leak.

nope the fogs are stock.
and as soon as I figure out what/where the leaf is i'll spray some wd40 lol
sorry i'm about as dumb as it gets when it comes to vehicles but i'm trying to learn!

I had a REALLY annoying squeak over every little bump. If I opened up the rear window I could hear it over the radio. One day I was going around the truck and pulled on the passenger side of the tailgate and it made "the" sound. Hit it with some WD-40 and it has been good-to-go.
(no offense)but the leafs look like a prehistoric BOWFLEX(yaknow the work out machine)..
and i'm a girl
Instead of buying our cheap thin fog lamps all over again, remove the lense from the housing and re-silicone them on good, no more leaks. Squeaking from the rear may be a bad exhaust hanger, the leafs, a brake shield, brakes never last forever. I see its 2004, any idea what thew history was with it? or did you buy it new? How many miles?
