Seafoamed, now CEL
For every success story for Seafoam, you hear at least 2 negatives. Usually it is a simple CEL, but often it is also the 02 sensor.
Ford specifically says not to put any sort of additive into your engine or gas. Getting out on the highway and opening the motor up will do more good for your engine than any $10 can of instant fix

Well there's a guy here I work with that put some in his old jeep and it really helped out with power and performance. He's a good mechanic and no reason to even mention using the stuff if it screwed his ride up. So I have no doubt it works on older vehicles. still use with reservation on anything made in the last decade.
Hey now that's below the belt
I guess I'll let it slide since you feel you must compensate for that wimpy 4.6L by talking big
Anyway I have torn a part an engine or two well into the 100k mile range that have had no seafoam (or other miracle in a can stuff) put through them and guess what they were very clean. What did they have in common.....use good oil changed regularly and use good gas. I'm not saying that there are not exceptions but I don't believe in any fix it in a can stuff. The motors should run pretty clean as long as you put good products in them and run good gas.

FAIL: That 4.6 has more RWHP than the 5.4 is rated at the flywheel.
I have used seafoam on a few a my vehicles with no problems. I wouldn't recomend using it on any vehicle that has low mileage or made within the past 10 years it just doesn't seam to make to much of difference. My friend used it on his 1990 accord and that thing runs much better and is getting alot better gas mileage, so I wouldn't say the stuff is junk because it works great in some vehicles.
Anyway back to the regularly scheduled thread
