Question Transmission hose recall?

Well I got my leafs fixed last week and when the courtesy van picked me up the guy was asking me if I got a letter about the recall. Intrigued I asked he said there is a small hose coming off the transmission that has a high tendency to slip off. Supposedly it is quick easy fix but requires several hours because the engine/transmission must cool before they stick their arms in there. Just curious if anyone heard about this or if was true. I completely forgot to ask the service writer, this guy might have been yanking me.

He may have been confused. There is a recall for a hose that goes from the brake booster to the back of the engine that they need to wait till it coold.

It only takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes max to be able to mess with the engine. Not a couple hours.

Heck, I've changed oil and messed with brakes that were still hot to the touch.

I took my truck into the dealership to get the brake booster recall and they said it needed to sit for 2-3 hours to let it cool down before they could work on it. I've worked directly on the exhuast within 10 minutes of driving it. It just an excuse because they dont like doing warrenty work.

Stick your arms up there with the catalytic converter (which reaches about 1300 degrees or so at peak operating temp) to perform a brake booster hose recall after letting the engine cool for 10, 30 or 45 minutes, let me know how that works out for you.
