The functionality is obvious.

They are more for the 'big rig' look, and they look great when paired up with more aftermarket running lights.

I dig them, on most trucks.

You should post more pictures though, farther away to show how they fit with the truck.

Looks good on F-250's and up, not made for Rangers or F-150 IMO.

Thanks!

I didn't think what I said was mean spirited.

I next to never bag anyone's mods because it's not my style, and,, quite frankly, mods are like arseholes.

Speaking of arseholes....

They look hideous!

Hope this helps.

After reading through your posts, I get the impression that you started this thread because you only want to hear from people that like your "mod" and are willing to shower praise on you for doing it.
If that's what your looking for then stick to posting in threads instead of starting them.

If they are for purely cosmetic reasons, I can understand that. BUT... I think they are supposed to help the driver figure out where the front corners of the vehicle are. If so, they don't make much sense mounted where they are as there is something like 4 - 6" more truck beyond the mount point...

I am not dissing them at all. Sure I wouldn't install them, but I know a lot of guys don't like brush guards either... And I DO use my brush guard to tell where the front corner of my truck is...

I think they are a truly fascinating item. And I for one am glad SOMEBODY did that..

Just because a mod isn't someone else's cup of tea, does not mean it is without merit. I think the OP might have gone a little overboard thinking he was getting slammed by a lack of understanding on his mods...

I think it is a good start to a retro sort of mod... I can see a build up of a tail dragger...

(I installed a set of bumper guides for those who might be interested.)

Please explain to me how is the above statement looking for a shower of praise?

The only reason I started this thread is for anyone who might be interested in adding a set of bumper guides on their truck they would have an idea of what it looked like. Dude I'm not here to impress people with mods. Please I have more important things to do in my life than wonder if you will like my mod or not.

It gives the impression that you only want positive responses.

I crawled out just to let you know your truck's mod looks hideous.

Stick a fork into you.

Thanks for coming.
