are there any companies making off the shelf carbon fiber driveshafts for our trucks? I did a search on here and on google and only came up with custom jobs.

Allow me to translate for azmidget91

= no way in hell you'll find an off the shelf carbon fiber driveshaft.

These are trucks... not race cars.

Your best bet will be to ask the Lightning guys since they are the most concerned about low weight. I doubt they can give you one off a shelf, but they might know where to get a decent price.

Why do you want one?????

AZ is pretty much the resident racing consultant so that's pretty much a "or you serious?, um no..."

As you found out it's all pretty much custom for anything besides stock for any truck when it comes to racing products. Ricers get it a lot better were almost anything is off the shelf. Now there may be after market options aside from carbon fiber.

I was just on that site, glad you posted the price as I think some of my vibrations are drive shaft related.

And the driveshaft I got from them was a "heavy duty one" that added to the cost. so it could be less than $400, I know ford wants 500 for a new one

yeah your not going to find a cf driveshaft specifically for our trucks but it is possible you might find one that is a universal shaft that just happens to be the correct length....look up a member named rafa26 he was looking into getting one for his mark lt
