Really, I see you have the same rims as I do and im looking foward to swapping out my AS 2''. Did you get a wheel alignment also?

Yep I had them align it when done.

Yea we have the same wheels and same size tires(I have Toyo AT's though). I looked at your truck many times before buying wheels and tires. Don't think you ever mentioned your tires rubbing but mine did just a little when they were brand new (with the 2" AS) but they have worn down some now and stopped rubbing....well at least until the 5100's but like I said it is very very minor rubbing and will probably quit in a few thousand miles. I would do some triming some but honestly it is so minor that I cannot see where it is rubbing at. I would have to have some watch while turning in reverse to see it.

Yah I never had rubbing issues at all and thats why I bought those wheels. I do some off roading and some beach runs so I need to change the shocks bad. Thanks for the input.

Just incase you havn't read anywhere else on hear the topgun ones only have a 0" and 2" lift setting. I think it has to do with them being made for "RCI?" lifts but should have the same valving as the other with the 1" setting.....at least that's what others have said on here.

I don't think this matters much since you'll have to go with the 2" setting but thought I would let you know since I didn't mention it earlier.

Yeah, some of our "paved" roads are worse than the back country roads that only see the grader 1x per year, part of the reason I am looking into the Bilsteins in the first place. Maybe they will be too harsh though? I have noticed a big difference in spring rate from my old '06 scab 4wd to this new '08 reg cab 2wd though, much softer ride but also telegraphs every bump thru the manual trans., that's why I'm thinking the Bilsteins may improve the ride and as a bonus can level up the front end.

I bought a Bilstein 5100 level kit for $380 from Top Gun Customz and am waiting for my friend to help me put the rear shocks in and have a shop install the front. Looking real forward to the new height in front. I love these north PA smooth streets

It will sag down more soon as soon as those front struts break in. Since they are brand new they sit a little higher.
