I live in Montana, not back east. Mater of fact it wasn't to many years ago where there was no speed limit at all when I was younger here in Montana, cause, have you ever driven through this state? It's big and handsome, Hundreds of miles of road under the big sky straight a level. Good roads. You can walk into a bar today with a side arm on and give it to the bartender for safe keepings Do you really think I'm gonna get a ticket for a DUI driving my flipping bicycle?

The way a lifted or leveled F-150 look's is hard to beat. It's tough not to able to drive them daily because of high gas prices. Since I moved 4 month's ago I have close to a hundred mile a day commute to work. I drive on flat Louisiana highways with speed limit's of 65 and 55 mph and then hit a stretch of road with about 30 traffic light's. I'm getting a consistent 16-17 mpg, on a straight Interstate run at cruise set at 67mph I got a little over 18mpg which isn't bad considering the size of the truck and riding on 35" tires. The key is driving these truck's easy which is a feat in itself!!

I just started watching my mileage over the last fill up, and I'm averaging about 17-18 driving hard. I would have to say that running my custom 93 octane tune from PHP has alot to do with it.

My God! Glad I got the smaller engine with 2WD now. I'm just picking a little now, lol. If you are so worried about MPG's then why did you get the biggest engine, 4WD, lift and giant tires? This truly is an example of "pay to play". If I were you, I'd sell all the stuff you bought and set it to stock, and just buy engine based parts, CAI, exhaust, programmer, gears, etc.

well i just bought mine recently used and im averaging 10 to 12mpg and i was wondering what I could do to improve it. Magnaflow exhaust/Cai and Tune are on my list for improvements and I have a bed cover.

Does a supercharger really get you better gas mileage?

its lifts 3inches and has leveling kit as well as big tires.

Not really. What helps to get better gas mileage is completely opposite of your setup:
  1. Lower stance
  2. Smaller tires/street tires
  3. 4x2 instead of 4x4.

Thank you. It's getting annoying hearing the same situation:

"I look like Bigfoot and get 10 MPG. What can I do to get 20 MPG?" How about drilling another hole in the the ole head of yours and let all that idiot juice flow out.

c'mon now, that isn't very nice. some people expect these things. a little thing called reality hasn't called upon them in some time.

I've been quite happy with my 13 mpg lately. can't complain as the truck sees 35 MPH max 99% of the time

That's pretty good! I get that kind of mileage in the throttle 80% of the time. I mean beating the ever living snot out of it.

The advantages of supercharging, street tires, 4x2, and Roush drop.
