What kind of side steps?

Okay so I have been going back and forth with this and I decided that I need steps. Plus my parents are giving them to me for graduation! The plastic piece in the door jam is getting cracked from stepping on it . I want some that stick out enough so my door doesn't get dinged and don't cost an arm and a leg. I don't know if I should get black or not... Can anyone sway me or point me in the right direction?

This is the most recent picture of my truck.

i say go with the sidewinders.....i love the look of the amp steps but came to the conclusion that they would look funny on my single cab. They dont cost to much and look really cool when there are girls around.

i used Dupli Color’s High Heat with Ceramic in flat black(got from napa)
i already had some that i painted my exhaust pipes with
i used about a can on each bar

i sanded them down w/ some 600 grit
even did the plastic ends and step pads then wiped them down w/ a shop towel and some carbmedic ...then sprayed several coats ...

I thought about nfabs but they are pretty expensive. I really like the amp steps but those are WAY to expensive. Would supercrew running boards fit on my truck? I'm trying not to find a cheap way out for my parents sake. Can anyone throw some prices are links?
