Wow! I didn't realize Ford was giving that much in rebates on the F-150.

I got 5000.00 rebate ...cash back. And I got 2500.00 for trading in a F-Series truck. My A/Z plan saved a couple grand too. It was hard to pass it up! I wantes to wait for an 09', but I am glad I didnt. Same truck in 09' will be 40,000 plus, and I LOVE this body style. I'll let them get the bugs out first, and buy one in 2012 when I hit 150,000 miles on this one!!

I think Ford did tweek the tune. My 2007 FX4 has a lot more ***** than my 2005 FX4 did. Exactly the same truck, much different experience. More get-up-and-go and handles much better.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!! I have learned a ton from this site. I really appreciate being able to ask questions of people who have "real world" experience with these trucks, and then hear "real" answers.....not some BS from a salesman or a shop owner.

I think I am going to order the US Speedo Stainless gauges and blue needles. I have never had a dash kit but always wanted one. I think it would look nice, and I spend more time looking at the dash than any other part of the truck!!

Thanks Again!!

I put 07 seat covers on the seats of my 04 and I can confirm that the newer trucks have a little more padding than the 04's did. See my thread here -> https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=328504

Wow, that's more miles in one year than my 04 has on it total!
