SuperCrew To SuperCab

i have an 05 lariat supercrew
i love my truckand
plan on keeping this truck for quite some time,
but i love the look of the supercab with 6.5 bed
and every older truck i see looks horribly out of style
in its the 4-door configuration.

would it be worth it to trade in for a supercab
or am i be to picky ???

has anyone else debated this aswell??

This is going to turn into a Supercab vs Supercrew post.
All depends on what you owe, and if you are willing to start over with payments. I have been temped to sell mine on occasion but since it's paid off don't want to have payments again.

what do you need more? the bed or the back seats? I don't have kids so I opted for the scab... if I had kids I woulda went with the screw... if I really needed a bed I'd go with the 8 footer.... just depends on ones needs

we have both in our family but what my wife and I wanted was the supercab with the 5.5' bed, we just love short bed trucks. So just do what you really want. We have both a screw with 5.5 bed and a scab with 6.5 bed which makes her truck 6" longer than mine, I just prefer the short bed. So do what ever you feel
comfortable with.

Ideally I would love to take my truck and all mods and convert it to a regular cab with the same size door as the supercab with the 5.5' bed that would rock.

Before I bought my truck I wanted to get a supercrew for the extra room in the cab, but I needed to have atleast a 6.5' bed. And at the time you couldn't get a supercrew with the 6.5' box, so I went with the supercab. If I where to buy a new truck now, it would be a FX4 luxury supercrew with 6.5' box.

I have no complaints with my Scab/6.5'

The Screw is a little bit bigger inside, but the scab still has enough room for people to ride on short trips. I couldn't use a 5.5' bed, and often times kick myself for not gettin a Scab/8'

the 6.5 scab looks so good imho.
every time i see a older truck in its
4 door configuration i regret buying a my screw.
i dont really need the extra leg room in the back,
theres plenty for me upfront
but i also dont need the extra bed length
the 5.5 does me just fine. so i guess its just for looks

Well I think different people are going to have different likes and needs so it really just boils down to what yours are.

I like my scab with the 6.5 bed and it does what I need it to do. That's all that is important to me.

I've had 5 SCabs, but the last two F-150's have been SCrews. I prefer the SCrew, but after the kids are in college, I'll probably go back to the SCab. One thing is for sure, any future truck will definitely be an FX4 with the Luxury Package.
