Thanks Guys!

Ford did not switch the tires....I did! After hearing tons of horror stories about them I went with what I always replace everthing else with...the Good Years.
They are Wrangler Silent Armor. I love them. Very quite and tough, good in the mud and snow, and at least 60,000 miles on a set. I drive 40-45 thousand a year through the U.P. of Michigan and need a quality tire. I tow boats all summer being a Charter Boat Captain, and 4 to 6 place snowmobile trailer in the winter. I ran through 2 sets on my 04' without a problem....knocking on wood....
They are about 200 a tire and well worth it.

I got 7500.00 in rebates on that truck plus I get the A/Z plan pricing. I paid 31,200 out the door for it...and they put the Good Years on it for me! Its pretty much as loaded as an FX4 can be and I love it!!

Its Good to be a FORD Man!! There is not a truck on the road that compares to these trucks overall. IMHO

I went from an 05 to an 08, same configuration. The 08 does feel like it has more pep, you blip the gas and it goes, not like the 05, so I think they did adjust their tunes somewhat.

Yes, My 04' FX4 was an F-150.

The new one does feel a bit more peppy.....but it is brand new! My 04 had over 150,000......it felt a little used!! I also had the 3.55's in the old truck and this one has the 3.73's.

I dont know if they have changed.....but the seats feel ALOT more comfortable than then 04'. Maybe more padding?? I also LOVE the Audiophile System!! Its no showstopper, but it is a world of difference from the stock set-up!

No big plans for the truck YET....I do alot of driving so I wont be going crazy with it. A lot of my driving is on dirt roads, 2 tracks, and fire trails so that is my "offroading" these days. I dont go looking for mud anymore.....I just go through it if its in my way!! At least one set of lights will find their way on it forsure! I also like the LED Tails by HELLA.

After reading some of the posts here though, I might be convinced to go with some sort of programmer. Sounds like the "Edge Evolution" is the ticket.?? I just worry that the "tuning" will reduce the longevity of the truck/drivetrain/warrenty?

I dont race the thing...but I wouldnt mind a bit more power for towing.

Once the rest of our snow is gone I will be getting antsy to do some things to it.

QUESTION....I like to run AMS-Oil in everything I own. They only make a 5W-30 and not a 5W-20. Is this a big deal?? i ran Mobil 1 in my last few trucks in the 5W-20 but would like to switch to AMS-Oil.

Thanks again Guys!
