well here they are...painted fogs...

sorry the pics took so long...just got done installing them...believe it or not had a water leak where the bulb goes into the housing...at least my seals held up...so i had to wait until today for the lights to dry out completely before putting my hids in...(they are 6000k from hid4u, still have to get my headlights) the install was simple...tho for added safe measure i put a small bead of rtv sealant around the base of the bulb where it meets the housing to ensure a good seal...here are the pics...

3 coats of krylon gloss

best spot i found to install ballasts...used the supplied tape and cant budge it...plus least likely to get water...

finished shot

Get a shot at night of just the fogs shining down your driveway or whatever. I'd like to see just how much light output you lost...

Looks good though!

would have been better to nightshades the lense, that way you would still have the reflective chrome inside to direct the light like it is supposed to be

FINALLY!!! lol..

they turned out good! i'm going to have to rip mine apart and paint mine as well... however, ill be doing it somewhat differently... i plan on leaving the chrome fins chrome, and painting the top and bottom of the lense, as well as the flat rim around the entire thing.... it's kind of hard to explain, but you'll see.

Nice job!

thats true but you would have to put a lot of night-shade on it so it wont look green, clear lenses look green if u dont put enough niteshade on it. doing this would probly give about the same output of light.. i could be wrong.

i know what you mean...thought about leaving it but trust me...the lights are so deep its gonna be a pita to tape off the fins...but if you do im sure itll look rocking...just put them in the oven on 240-250 for about 6-8 minutes...then start prying and if you need more time put them back in for a minute at a time that way you dont warp the lens...
