Lift before selling?

Time has come for me to sell my truck. I was thinking about throwing the AS 2.5 on and adding some bigger tires. Do you guys think that would be worth it or not? Do you think it would raise the resale that much?

stock trucks usually sell for more then modded trucks. unless you have put tens of thousands of dollars into it you wont gain back what you spend.

You'll never make money on doing mods.

I know that is usually the case, but I was scanning ebay to look at what trucks are going for. Saw one going for about 4k more than most, all he had was a lift and tires.

It'll never raise the value more than what the mods cost in the first place. Flipping trucks isn't the same as flipping houses.

I would not advise it. Installing a level kit and larger tires would just be throwing away your $$$$

You will spend money to get less for your truck. Bone stock is the most valuable. People are afraid vehicles with mods have been abused and they also want to make their own mods so they will know what they have.

was the f150 going for 4k more a dealer installed option? they can install and make a little money but the average joe will lose money on the deal. the only real mods you can do that will get you some return is Linex (actually linex not the rip off) and indash navigation.

just because he's asking $4k more, doesn't mean he'll get it...
I think most people who want a modified truck would rather start with a stock 1 and do what they want themselves. And if you lift it, you're eliminating a potential sale to someone looking for a stock truck.
